"Photography has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. Growing up in a family of photographers, I was drawn to the magic of freezing time and preserving emotions. My photography journey began with playing with my grandfather’s Rolleiflex, and over the years, I’ve learned that photography isn’t just about capturing a moment—it’s about telling a story. The path of photography has been filled with both challenges and triumphs, from experimenting with various techniques to eventually taking over Guide Photo Studio. My photography journey pushed me to grow not just as a photographer, but as an artist. For me, it’s not just about the technical side—it’s about understanding the emotions behind each shot, creating memories that last forever. Through this blog, I’ll share my experiences and lessons learned on my photography career, hoping to inspire others in their own photography journey."

A Family Legacy in Photography
My story begins long before I picked up a camera. My great-great-grandfather, Roshanlal Chopra, was a photographer, and this passion for capturing memories was passed down through generations. My grandfather, the Late Shri Parvesh Chopra, later founded Guide Photo Studio, which my father expanded. Growing up in this environment, surrounded by cameras and stories told through photographs, I was unknowingly shaping my destiny.
From Play to Passion
As a child, I was fascinated by the magic of freezing time. I would watch my father and grandfather develop photographs, turning simple moments into timeless memories. I still remember the first time I held a camera—it wasn’t just a device; it was a gateway to a new world.
At first, it was just fun—experimenting, clicking random pictures, and capturing anything that caught my eye. But as I grew, I realized photography was more than just a click. It was about emotions, perspectives, and storytelling.
Challenges and Breakthroughs
Like any journey, mine wasn’t always smooth. There was a time when I felt overwhelmed, trying to juggle different aspects of photography—editing, videography, cinematography—all at once. I even explored government schemes and skill certification programs, hoping to find clarity. But through these struggles, I learned that success in photography isn’t about competition; it’s about vision, patience, and persistence.
Building Guide Photo Studio & Beyond
Taking over Guide Photo Studio was both an honor and a responsibility. I wanted to keep the family legacy alive but also innovate and expand. Today, we specialize in everything from wedding and maternity shoots to high-end portfolio and commercial photography. And now, with new ventures in event management and blogging, my journey continues to evolve.
Why Photography?
Because it allows me to pause time and create something eternal. Because every frame tells a story. Because a simple smile in a photo can bring back a flood of emotions, even years later.
This blog is my new step in sharing my experiences, tips, and passion for photography with you all. Whether you're a client, a fellow photographer, or just someone who loves beautiful images, I hope you find something valuable here.
